Life on the Mayflower

Oh Great Mayflower, you never fail to delight me!

The voyage of a lifetime we were promised, is that what you see?

With Petals so Pearlescent, the bringer of spring you be!

Squalid and Plangent all of this for them to be free?

You restart our new lives, rejuvenating all that can breathe!

Sorrow and pain, is there anything but misery?

Winter’s end, the flowers bloom,

how could anyone despise such a scene?

Children yearn for one more embrace

forty-five dead

five more death chased

yet upon the grievers’ face, hope, that fickle thing, was never displaced.

When their journey ended, problems began to accrue, but every spring the mayflower bloomed.

Hardwork and sacrifice that they never withdrew, forging that new world, allowed lives to be renewed.

That I'll never read! Plenty of classics

I won't understand (They're too long) and

too much love poetry I refuse to understand;

So many young adult romance novels I've never

even opened! God! When did I even

buy these? Like 6 months ago?

After Jermaine bro - I can't remember!

I'm too busy with these books I have

that I bought that I'm never reading!

As long as my bookshelves are filled

with books and I have empty wallets.
