Introduction As February closes, ¿?sickbeats?¿ is excited to present a playlist specially targeted towards our JC1s. To welcome our newest Eunoians, ¿?sickbeats?¿ has curated a playlist that speaks of our school and house culture, featuring songs from this year’s very own House Walk-In!
This incredibly hyped electronic dance track has all the right beats and is the perfect anthem to represent the strong and jaw-dropping energy that every Akilad possesses. With an inferno of pride burning strongly and readily for their house, Akilads will be reminded of the fiery spirit and blazing passion that was poured into the House Walk-In performance after countless days of training.
Are you ready for the show? The ‘show’ being the EJ experience, of course! With its fast pace and unpredictable rhythm, Show by Ado captures the wild fun we hope our Ori Team and newcomers had in Eutopia. Though Ori’ 24 has come to an end, this is only the beginning of life in EJ, and there will be several more events that are just as exhilarating. Let’s keep this energy throughout the EJ show and make the most of it!
Eder’s awesome House Walk-In included Nicki Minaj’s Va Va Voom from her album Pink Friday. With its fast rap tunes and catchy beats, it's easy for anyone to vibe along, and it speaks to the tenacity we witness from all our Eder Knights! This song was a very apt choice for House Walk-In, given its most easily recognisable lyric, “If you looking for the main attraction // Just hold on tight and let me do my dance”. Well, Eder’s House Walk-In was most definitely a highlight!
Last Friday Night is the perfect song to end the packed two weeks of festivities that flew by in the blink of an eye. Unfortunately, the time for celebrations has come to an end, and we may be left confused and hungover in the wake of events. Regardless, live in the moment and enjoy your first few weeks to the fullest, treasuring the memories and bonds you forge along the way!
Everybody, rock your body! Orientation is back! Having been such a fun-filled experience for us J2s last year, this song is the perfect song to describe how being in charge of orientation for you, the J1s, feels. My guess is that Isami chose this House Walk-In song to represent the orientation experience they wish for you J1s to have. Orientation is full of dancing and singing so don’t be shy, have fun and rock your body to the music!
A timeless party song, Avicii's reminder to have fun as if it's our last night together and to ”live a life you will remember” resonates deeply. Participating in orientation was already a memorable experience, but hearing all the different houses singing along made it even more special as we gathered around to hype up Uzuri. The song is especially impactful for the J2s as it's our final year in EJ, evoking memories of all that we've achieved in our EJ journey. To all J1s, heed the song's message: “venture far beyond the shores.” Remember to try as many things as you can, and don't be afraid to step out of your comfort zone!
An iconic club song, this song is sure to boost your spirit especially when paired with Ora’s groovy House Walk In dance! With its high-energy rhythm and playful lyrics, it has a unique way of energising the spirits of our fellow J1s. What better way to initiate fellow J1 Oreos into the house of Ora, than by vibing to this bold song?
"I gotta feeling // That tonight's gonna be a good night!" Although the curtain falls on the chapter called Ori’ 24, seize the moment to embrace the joy and excitement of life's experiences fully. Embrace the sense of camaraderie and unity among you and your friends, as you come together to create lasting memories and forge connections through shared experiences. Here’s a toast to savouring the here and now!
POWER by Kanye West exudes an electrifying and commanding energy that captivates listeners from the very first beat. With its booming bassline, bold lyrics, and infectious chorus, the track radiates a sense of confidence and determination. It embodies the essence of empowerment, urging individuals to embrace their strengths. As a song for House Walk-In, it definitely captures the undying spirit of Uzuri, giving a strong first impression to the J1s!
