Regardless of whether you're a prospective student wondering about the CCAs Eunoia has to offer or a current student reminiscing about your CCA journey, a warm welcome to Part 1 of Eunoia Junior College's 2025 CCA showcase. CCAs are the heartbeat of Eunoia - on top of providing a safe space for students to meet like-minded peers and explore their interests, they serve as a platform for students to pick up new skills and forge unforgettable memories.
As such, we're proud to present our Clubs and Societies, consisting of Computing & Robotics, Debate, Environment Club, Heath and Fitness, Library, Media, Mind Sports, ODAC, Press, Service Learning and Visual Arts.
Computing and Robotics
REC — Robotics, Engineering and Computing. Our CCA time is spent learning from our fellow members through student-taught lessons on various STEM related topics, including but not limited to developing websites, EV3 robots for competitions, and even making popsicle stick bridges that can support the weight of a person. All year round, we have the opportunity to pick up new skills.

In 2025, we learnt how to code in HTML, Javascript and CSS, learnt how to complete Capture The Flag (CTF) challenges, made it to the finals in World Robotics Competition and more! To put these skills into practice, many of our lessons consist of hands-on activities and even small projects that we utilise our learnt robotics and programming skills in.
Furthermore, many competitions are available to us, such as WRO, NOI (National Olympiad of Informatics), various CTF challenges, all with attractive prizes and certificates to be won. Once competition season rolls around, our CCA is split into smaller groups focusing on each competition type, with the training led by our very own CCA members who are familiar with the different competition techniques. For those who are uninterested in competing, rest assured that there will still be student-led CCA sessions to keep everybody engaged.
Our EXCO team works closely with all CCA members to ensure that lessons are carried out in an effective manner, providing support in guiding members through activities as well as sourcing for materials and resources for different types of lessons. Aside from usual CCA time, you can look forward to various CCA outings, including activities like laser-tag or going out for dinner.
Debate
Debate is often associated with formal speeches and complicated jargon, but in reality, it is a lot more lively than people expect. At Eunoia Debate, we are all about learning how to organise ideas clearly, respond under pressure, and work as a team.
Our CCA sessions usually start with a motion, and we are given a short amount of preparation time. Motions range from interrogating the role of central banks, to arguing over wearing a wig or shaving your remaining hair as a young balding individual. From there, members are assigned roles and deliver timed speeches while others act as adjudicators. Sessions often focus on improving specific technical skills, such as structuring arguments or improving rebuttals.
Our 3-hour long sessions serve to sharpen our skills in time for the many tournaments that our club participates in. By competing against debaters from other institutions, we put our learnings as well as teamwork and sportsmanship to the test. This year, our club has represented the school at various intercollegiate and open debate tournaments. We fielded teams to in person tournaments such as the NTU Dorothy Cheung Debate Championships and Singapore Polytechnic Debate Open. We ended as Semifinalists at the MOE-ACJC Intercollegiate Debating Championships and were crowned champions of Tuesday Academy Debate Open.

Our club members carry their passion for debating outside of school too, spending their weekends at tournaments which we independently register for. Some of our achievements include the title of Open Champions and High School Champions at Pre-University British Parliamentary and Shanghai Novice Debate Open respectively. At every tournament we go to, the wealth of knowledge accumulated from rigorous debates and precise feedback from established judges help us grow as debaters and as Eunoians.
Ultimately, Eunoia Debate is collaborative rather than competitive. Our seniors go the extra mile to support our debating by providing us with invaluable feedback and moral support. Practice often extends outside of CCA hours, and our weekly EatDS sessions allow us to end our week in laughter over meals. While debating is often intensive, Eunoia Debate provides a supportive and enriching environment for anyone looking to embark on their debating journey.
Environment Club
“Eunoia for Gaia”
That’s not just our motto — it’s our mission. At Environment Club, we are passionate changemakers who believe that caring for the Earth starts with action right here in our school.

You might’ve seen our hydroponics system nestled in the library and yes — we’re the ones tending to those leafy greens! From seedling to harvest, we manage the entire process, and the best part? Our fresh produce gets handed straight to the duck stall aunty, who uses it in meals for the EJ community. It's a full-circle moment: school-grown, school-served.
Our CCA sessions happen every Wednesday from 3 to 5pm, and no two weeks look the same. One day we’re planning a recycling drive, the next we're hosting Earth Day activities or brainstorming sustainable swaps for daily life. Whether it's turning trash into treasure or educating peers about conscious choices, we're always thinking about how to make EJ just a little greener.
But our impact doesn’t stop at the school gates. We’ve collaborated with organisations across Singapore — from Semula to The Bettering Branch — learning from environmental changemakers and working together to create workshops, campaigns and projects that matter.
Between planting days and project work, there’s plenty of laughter, idea-sharing, and team bonding. We’re a tight-knit community that believes in learning by doing and having fun along the way.
We’re looking for people who are creative, committed and curious — individuals ready to roll up their sleeves, get involved, and help drive sustainable change. If that sounds like you, you’re at the right place!
Ready to grow with us? Join the Environment Club. Be the change our world needs.🌍🌿
Health and Fitness
Health and Fitness (H&F) is a CCA that centres around encouraging a healthy, active, and sustainable lifestyle within the Eunoia community. At its core, H&F is not just about exercising for the sake of it, but about understanding how and why we move, and how fitness can be integrated meaningfully into daily life. Many of our events are designed to promote physical activity in accessible and enjoyable ways, whether through sports, team-based games, or long-term challenges that emphasise consistency over intensity.
A common question people ask is what actually happens during an H&F session. The answer is that no two sessions look exactly the same. However, most sessions follow a clear technical structure. We usually begin with a guided warm-up that focuses on mobility and injury prevention, followed by the main programme of the day. This could involve circuit-style fitness training, ball sports like basketball or frisbee, or endurance runs at Bishan Park. On selected days, we also make use of Eunoia’s signature gym, where members learn proper equipment usage, basic workout programming, and gym etiquette in a safe and supervised environment.

Beyond physical training, H&F also operates behind the scenes to plan and execute our flagship events. These include Interhouse Games, the 50km in 50 Days challenge, and our 10km Finale. Planning these events involves setting achievable goals, coordinating logistics, ensuring safety measures are in place, and tracking participation. Members can also choose to contribute by creating Instagram content, which involves learning how to communicate fitness-related ideas clearly and responsibly to a wider audience.
What sets H&F apart is its balance between structure and enjoyment. While we take routines, safety, and planning seriously, the CCA prioritises having fun and trying new things together. There is no single “type” of person suited for H&F. Rather, it is a space for anyone who wants to explore fitness at their own pace while learning practical skills and building camaraderie. If you are looking for a CCA that values variety, teamwork, and a healthy approach to physical activity, H&F offers a welcoming and engaging experience! Check us out @ejc_hfc on Instagram!
Library
Are you interested in books and writing? You’ve stumbled into the right place!

Prose, poetry, and books — EJC’s Library Club provides opportunities for members to interact with libraries and literature deeply and thoughtfully, to find their purpose and insights within pages. We seek to spread the joy of reading and writing not only within our club, but also to the wider community of Eunoians.
While our CCA activities vary greatly from week to week, our regularly planned activities to achieve our club's goals include our monthly book club sessions, where our members curate a selection of books aligning with the monthly theme, and design slides to promote these books. With a mix of aesthetics and self-written synopses, these slides will then be broadcasted to the wider EJ community, providing interesting book recommendations for fellow Eunoians.
Meaningful bonding sessions are in no shortage on our agenda as well. From book debates to movie screenings of book adaptations, we use this time to unwind, strengthen our relationships, and encourage intra-club teamwork.
Outside the usual after-school CCA sessions, every member will engage in an hour of counter duty every week. Taking on the role of a student librarian, we help manage our library through book shelving, creating displays, and more.
We also participate in competitions that push us to consume and critically engage with literature we are interested in. For example, in our participation in the Read.Create.SG60 competition, many of us were challenged to explore new and interesting books in our library. Our entries consisted of book review videos discussing our analysis of the text and comic strips reimagining the plot or ending of the story – all of which were done during CCA hours!
Regular activities aside, our occasional attendance of relevant external events serve to reinforce our passion for books and gain authentic insights into writing. In 2025, we visited the Presidential Pop-up Library to review book recommendations from our Presidents and reflect on these books, as well as attended Marginalia, an exhibition at the Singapore Writers’ Festival, to share our thoughts on Singaporean literature by “writing between the lines”.
Every year, EJLC conducts passion-led VIA activities, inspired by our members’ interests. This year, we shared our love for reading with low-income children through a planned day of exciting activities, and donated 11 books to the less privileged through our participation in NLB’s annual Read for Books movement.
So what are you waiting for, come join our EJC Library Club if you are interested in exploring and critically evaluating literature of all kinds!
Media
Most people only notice the final outcome, such as the photos posted after an event or the video shown during assembly. What often goes unnoticed is the process behind it all. Media is the CCA that works behind the scenes to document school events and produce visual content that represents school life.

Media mainly takes charge of covering school-wide events and the production of publicity videos. Members are involved in photographing or videographing a wide range of events, from performances and celebrations to major school programmes. In addition, Media creates publicity videos for these school events, taking part in its planning, filming and editing. Through these experiences, members gain hands-on exposure to media work while learning how to work efficiently under time constraints.
To better suit different interests, Media is split into three modules: Audio Visual (AV), Photography and Videography. Each module focuses on a specific area and receives specialised training. AV members handle audio and visual support during live events, ensuring that sound and visuals function properly throughout the programme. Photography members focus on capturing moments through photos, while Videography members work on filming and editing videos.
Each module undergoes separate training sessions conducted by professional external vendors. These sessions allow members to learn industry-relevant skills, proper equipment handling and technical techniques specific to their module. With guidance from experienced trainers, members are able to build a strong foundation and steadily improve their confidence and competence.
Beyond regular sessions, each module also has its own outings and bonding sessions, commonly referred to as mod dinners. These sessions allow members to relax and connect more closely within their modules. Media also organises inter-module activities where members from different modules come together to bond as one CCA, strengthening overall unity and teamwork.
Being part of Media requires commitment, especially during busy event periods, but it is also rewarding. There is a sense of satisfaction in seeing your work shared with the school community or knowing that you played a part in capturing important moments. Along the way, members develop not only technical skills, but also soft skills including teamwork, communication and adaptability.
Media is suitable for students who enjoy working behind the scenes, exploring creativity or learning new skills. If you are interested in visual storytelling and want to contribute to school events in a meaningful way, joining Media would provide you with the most enriching and enjoyable experience possible!
Mind Sports
Ever wondered what Mind Sports is all about? Well, it’s a CCA where passionate players of chess, bridge and other board games come together and hone their skill sets in these games! Split mainly into 3 sectors, International Chess, Chinese Chess and Bridge, each individual section is trained during preparations for competitions.

Training is usually led by our sectional masters, who are more experienced in their specific section’s gameplays. A typical training begins with an introduction to a new technique, followed by play time for members to practice it against other members. Through various training sessions and practices against one another, members are exposed to different skills and play styles, enabling them to enhance their playstyles, better equipping them for competitions.
However, you may wonder, what if I'm completely new to Mind Sports? Well, fret not! Less experienced players may also choose to take part in these competitions, and are given the opportunity to choose which sector they would like to sit in on. There, they are able to observe others' gameplay, learn different strategies, and even try out the game themselves. With the help of their sectional masters, players are also able to clarify any doubts that they may have. This gradual exposure provides them with the learning opportunity to develop their skills at their own pace.
During off-peak seasons, the members, regardless of sectors, come together in numerous other games, including competitive and recreational games such as Scrabble, Reversi and Stress. These sessions not only forge bonds within the CCA, but also provide a space where members can enjoy recreational time outside of the CCA!. As these sessions take on a more relaxed tone, members are able to better mix around and get to know each other and forging new friendships.
Nonetheless, the highlight of our sessions is the extremely valuable opportunity to play against our very own teachers-in-charge. Whilst our teachers are typically present to supervise our sessions, they may, on lucky occasions, be willing to accept or volunteer themselves to your game. This friendly setting tears down traditional classroom boundaries, providing us with a rare chance to interact with our teachers on a more personal and relaxed level. Their participation lifts not just the energy of our sessions, but also fills the room with friendly banter, lots of laughter and a stronger sense of camaraderie. These moments ultimately enrich our sessions by combining learning, enjoyment and mutual respect that extends beyond just mind sports.
ODAC
“Mud, Sweat, No Regrets.” That’s not just our Batch 9 motto, it’s how we live in EJC ODAC. We’re a high-energy, tight-knit, adventure-loving community that thrives on pushing boundaries, stepping out of our comfort zones, and growing stronger together as one unstoppable ODAC family.

Every CCA session is an adventure of its own! We pick up essential outdoor skills like tentage, firefighting, orienteering, and tying knots and lashings. However, learning in ODAC is never boring. From outdoor cooking (yes, Mac & Cheese and s’mores!) to building epic structures like catapults and swings, our sessions are packed with hands-on fun. Add in gamified PT sessions, and you’ve got workouts that keep us fit, fired up, and always ready for the next challenge!
Camping is a huge part of the ODAC experience too! We organise two overnight camps each year, March Camp and EOY Camp. March Camp introduces our J1s to new skills while bonding everyone together, while EOY Camp is all about relaxing, reflecting, and making memories together after a hectic year.
ODAC also loves giving back to the school. Last year, we organised EJ’s Inter-House Vertical Marathon, and this year, we’re taking things up a notch with our very own Spartan Race, an annual House event where J2s push themselves to their limits and show what they’re truly made of.
The adventures don’t just stop within EJ. In 2025, our seniors conquered Mount Belumut in Malaysia, and we’ve taken part in competitions like the Passionwave Orienteering Competition, National Vertical Marathon, Adventure Trail Challenge, and National Orienteering Race. Racing, climbing, finding checkpoints and navigating, we take on every challenge together and emerge stronger from each as one.
We also go on unforgettable expeditions, be it from cycling down the ECP (East Coast Park) to Marina Barrage or from going out as an ODAC family to explore the Sisters’ Islands. And ODAC is always down to try something new, from rappelling, bouldering, and even prawning. If it’s an adventure, we’re in!
More than anything, ODAC is home. From welfare sessions to post-CCA dinners, birthday celebrations, and Christmas dress-up parties, we’ve built a culture that’s enthusiastic, supportive, and full of heart both in AND outside of school.
So if you’re ready to get muddy, sweat it out, and make memories you’ll never forget… ODAC is calling! Are you ready? Check out our Instagram page — @ejc.odac for more!
Press
Ever wondered who's behind the articles, features and student stories that capture the pulse of Eunoia Junior College? That's us, Eunoia Press (The Origin*), Eunoia's very own student publication CCA. As storytellers, designers and editors, we document the spirit of our Eunoian community, writing meaningful stories that explore thought-provoking issues and breathing life into words! Opinion pieces, lifestyle columns, feature articles and even creative works, Pressies (our members) strive to craft articles that inform, inspire and resonate.

From a student interest group in 2018, Press has come a long way to establish itself as a student publication committed to publishing engaging articles that span across a wide range of genres. Every Wednesday from 4-6pm, Pressies gather to work on committee articles that bring out each member’s writing flair. These sessions are filled with members brainstorming new articles and where lively discussions help ideas take shape!
Be it researching on relevant and legitimate sources for their current affairs articles by Periscope (current affairs writing committee) or reviewing the latest trends and cafe foodstuff by Off the Record (lifestyle column committee), there will always be topics to find and articles to write! Not to forget Aunt Agony Agatha (advice column) which provides thought-provoking answers to student queries as well as Kaleidoscope (creative writing team) that brings out child-like joy in every poem or story they write!
As a CCA of around 20 members, Pressies are few in number, yet strong as one! Spontaneous activities like picnics in the park and CCA dinners help immensely in building bridges between members and reinforce kinship and camaraderie. Above it all, Pressies are yappers at heart who love to chat and laugh together, imbuing the atmosphere with warmth and liveliness!
Beyond our internal activities, Pressies enjoy broadening our horizons through collaborations within and beyond EJ. An upcoming highlight is the MediaXPress collaboration in January where members will learn how to better incorporate photos into their articles while honing their writing craft. An inter-JC press conference, Pressing Ahead, is yet another event that Pressies look forward to participating in, and if YOU join us, you might just be able to be a part of it as well!
If YOU want to write stories that matter alongside a tight-knit community, then Press is the perfect place for you! So what are you waiting for? Join Press — to impress!
Service Learning
In SLC, we believe in service learning — not just service to our beneficiaries, but also personal growth as individuals and leaders. We hope to foster service leadership in all our members — to take ownership of their own changemaker journeys and to take initiative in inspiring others to serve, as well as to spearhead meaningful projects that bring about real impact.

SLC is unique in the wide plethora of opportunities we provide for our members to explore their interests and strengths. New JC1 members can look forward to joining one of our three committees — Culture, Partnership, and Publicity.
The Culture committee focuses on cultivating a Changemaker culture and community in Eunoia, as well as supporting collaboration between student groups. The Partnership committee aims to foster strong partnerships between EJ and community organisations as well as national initiatives. They will also help in supporting VIA initiatives by liaising with our partner organisations. The Publicity committee handles the SLC Instagram account and Changemakers Telegram channel, publicising VIA opportunities and projects, as well as spotlighting inspiring changemakers in EJC.
Apart from the committees, members take part in weekly service sessions, projects and events with key school partners such as Marymount Community Centre, Central CDC, and the National Youth Corps. This allows our members to serve different groups in the wider community, and have the opportunity to have more in-depth experience as they serve the beneficiaries regularly over the year.
Here is what one member had to say about her involvement in a particular partnership with Pierce Secondary School:
In partnership with Peirce Secondary School, one of our project groups engaged with students through afterschool homework help sessions. This involves us going down to Peirce Secondary School on a weekly basis in Term 3, interacting with the students and providing them with mentorship, advice, and academic support. We also organised a cohort-wide encouragement card writing programme and sharing by a Peircean alumna on national examination preparation tips. Through our efforts, we hoped to support the students in their academics and well-being, learning more about their needs, and building a genuine rapport with them.
-Gemma (25-O1), Youths Project Group Chairperson
SLC also offers various platforms for club-wide events. This year, we partnered with Heal Hearts to plan an amazing race for cancer warriors around Chinatown. From planning the activity booths together to participating in the race together with the cancer warriors, this event brought our CCA closer together as it allowed members from different project groups and committees to interact and participate in the games together.
All in all, SLC is a space for like-minded individuals who hope to make a difference by serving the community. Everyone is given the chance to lead regardless of their past experiences. We aim to build a repertoire of skills in service leadership for our members, and spread our influence to bring the rest of Eunoia on board to serve our larger community.
Visual Arts
Wondering who are the people behind the striking murals and sleek school merchandise? That’s us, EJVA: Eunoia’s Visual Arts Club! Guided by our motto, “The world is our Palette”, EJVA is a space where creativity knows no bounds, and inspiration is drawn from everything around us.

As artists, EJVA members explore ideas through a wide range of mediums, from traditional sketching and digital art, to more hands-on mediums like pottery and embroidery. Each artwork is a reflection of a personal voice, and we encourage members to observe the world around them, and to put their thoughts and feelings into a visual form. Not only that, EJVA is a space where members are encouraged to pursue their passion projects alongside peers who are equally invested, fostering a culture of mutual support and creative growth. We are very happy to work with each other to create new works and test the limits of our creativity!
Additionally, EJVA members work closely with the school to create murals that we are proud to call our own, leaving a lasting visual impact on the EJ campus. Beyond large-scale artworks, we also contribute to the design of school collateral, taking pride in shaping the visual identity of the Eunoian community. EJVA members are also involved in designing the Learner’s Profile template, creating a thoughtful space for students to reflect on and document their school journey. Through our art, we hope to give back to the school and serve the wider Eunoian community, using our creativity as a meaningful form of contribution.
Beyond the school, EJVA is also actively involved in VIA activities, such as hosting art workshops for under-privileged children, where members share their skills while spreading the joy and love for art. Through these sessions, EJVA uses creativity as a means of reaching out to the broader community, inspiring others to express themselves and spread the joy of art.
If you’re someone who loves to create, explore and express yourself visually, EJVA is where you’ll find your people. See the world through an artist’s eyes, and let creating art with purpose be your #WhyEJVA!
