Proudly presenting EJC's Sports CCAs: Badminton, Basketball, Floorball, Hockey, Netball, Softball, Squash, Table Tennis, Taekwondo, Tennis, Track & Field, Ultimate Frisbee, and Volleyball.
Badminton

Hey J1s! Have you ever wondered why anyone would find hitting a shuttlecock fun? Well… read on to discover more about EJBT. Badminton is a fast-paced, intense and demanding sport, yet it is never lonely. While matches are played either individually (singles) or in pairs (doubles), the highs and lows of every game are shared collectively as a team.
Our motto for this year is “All for one, one for all”. A defining trait of our CCA is our close-knit and welcoming environment. From cheering one another on during competitions to celebrating birthdays after training, we are a bonded CCA that supports each other both on and off the court. Even if you have no prior experience in the sport, as long as you possess the drive and passion, rest assured that you will improve with time.
We train every Monday and Wednesday from 5–7:30pm. As the National School Games (NSG) season approaches, additional sessions are organised, including strength and conditioning training as well as friendly matches with other schools. Our training sessions consist of skill-based practices, drills and physical conditioning. While these sessions are both physically and mentally demanding, we understand their importance and constantly remind ourselves why we started — to represent our team’s work hard, play hard spirit.
In this year’s NSG, the girls’ team made EJBT history by clinching first runners-up, the highest achievement we have ever attained. As we gear up for the upcoming season, EJBT continues to strive for improvement and to give our 110% in both training and matches, ensuring that we leave no regrets on the court.
Beyond training, our CCA also organises team dinners for bonding, and we even held a team Secret Santa last year. While we may appear serious on court, rest assured that off court, there is never a dull moment with EJBT!!🏸
Basketball
Basketball at EJC is more than just a CCA; it’s a space where discipline, resilience, and camaraderie come together on and off the court. As members of the EJC Basketball Team, we train not just to compete, but to grow as individuals and as a collective, pushing one another to be better every session.
Our training sessions are structured and purposeful. From fitness conditioning to drills and scrimmages, each session is designed to build both physical strength and game intelligence. While the intensity can be demanding, it is balanced by a strong emphasis on learning and improvement. Our coaches and teachers constantly challenge us to reflect on our performances, encouraging accountability and mental toughness, qualities that extend beyond basketball.
Competitions such as the National School Games are highlights of our journey, but what truly defines our CCA are the moments behind the scenes. Post-training debriefs and the shared exhaustion after tough sessions often become moments of laughter and bonding. Whether it’s hyping one another up before a game or staying back to help a teammate master a move, the team thrives on mutual support.
One thing that sets EJC Basketball apart is its strong team culture. Seniors guide juniors not just in skills, but in adapting to JC life, managing commitments, and staying resilient during challenging periods. The court becomes a safe space where mistakes are part of the learning process and effort is always recognised. Through wins and losses alike, the team learns the importance of trust and perseverance.
Being part of EJC Basketball requires commitment, but it also offers a deep sense of belonging. It teaches you how to show up even when things are tough, how to communicate under pressure, and how to celebrate progress, no matter how small. For those who are passionate about the sport and willing to grow alongside a dedicated team, joining EJC Basketball is a challenging yet rewarding journey worth embarking on.

Floorball
Floorball at Eunoia Junior College is more than just a CCA — it is a brotherhood forged through shared sweat, laughter, and purpose. As an all-boys team, the bonds we form go beyond the court. Training sessions quickly become a space where friendships deepen, inside jokes are born, and teammates look out for one another both as players and as people. Whether it’s pushing through a tough drill together or staying back after training to talk and joke around, there is a strong sense that no one stands alone in this team. For incoming students, Floorball offers a tight-knit community where you are welcomed not just as a player, but as a brother.
Floorball improves fitness, agility, and quick thinking while teaching teamwork and discipline. As a fast-paced team sport, it also builds strong bonds among teammates, offering a sense of belonging alongside physical and personal growth.
We train twice a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 3 times during NSG season with an additional Saturday. While our sessions are filled with energy and camaraderie, they are never taken lightly. When we step onto the court, the mood shifts — focus sharpens, communication becomes crisp, and everyone commits fully to the team’s goals. This balance between fun and discipline has shaped our identity and driven us to success in the National School Games. Each victory is a reflection not just of skill, but of trust, resilience, and collective effort built over countless trainings.
What makes EJC Floorball truly special is this blend of strong bonds and a relentless drive to improve. We celebrate together, we struggle together, and we grow together. For those looking to join a CCA that values brotherhood as much as hard work, and where every training brings you closer not only to success but to lifelong friendships, Floorball at Eunoia Junior College is a place you can proudly call home.

Hockey
If you catch us heading out of the college gates for training, you’ll likely spot us with our hockey sticks in hand and that distinct "hockey tan" from hours on the turf. To the outsider, it’s just a game, but for Eunoia Hockey, it’s a culture built on our core pillars: Outdo, Outplay, and Outlast.

Our journey doesn't just happen on the pitch. We spend regular sessions in the school gym, building the strength and explosive power needed for every sprint and hit. While the training is intense, the atmosphere is far from a grind. Instead of a "suffer in silence" vibe, the gym is where we find our second wind, cheering each other on through the final sets. It’s in these moments of shared effort, pushing to outdo our personal bests, that our team chemistry is truly forged.
On the pitch, the technicality of the game takes over. From mastering the precision of a hit to the tactical discipline of man-marking, the learning curve is steep but rewarding. There’s a specific "behind-the-scenes" bond that forms during our afternoon sessions. Whether it’s the quick strategy chats during water breaks or the ritual of gathering our sticks from the cage before a session, these small moments are where we become more than just teammates. Even when the sun is at its peak, the drive to outplay our opponents keeps us sharp and focused.
The ultimate test comes during the National School Games (NSG). Stepping onto the blue turf in our white and blue jerseys, with the Eunoia Otter spirit behind us, the motto outlast becomes our reality. I remember a match where the score was tight and our energy was dipping. In those final minutes, it wasn’t just the drills that kept us going; it was the trust we built in the gym and on the turf, and a collective refusal to give up.
To the incoming J1s: You don’t need to be a seasoned player to find a home here. We are a family that celebrates grit and growth. If you’re looking for a community that will have your back and push you to be your best, EJC Hockey is waiting for you.
Netball
“To the end, EJ!” This iconic cheer belongs to a small but mighty CCA that is committed to putting our best foot forward in every training and competition that we take part in. EJC Netball is a competitive yet bonded CCA that enjoys the thrill of the game as well as the relaxing team dinners that we have.
Our training consists of drills, court games as well as physical training in the gym. It is definitely a high-intensity CCA but we are all driven by the desire to achieve better results in NSG each year. National School Games (NSG) is the most prominent highlight of our season, where we compete with other junior colleges around Singapore. EJC Netball has consistently achieved good results, with our greatest accomplishment being awarded runners-up in NSG 2023. The 9th/10th batch of EJC Netball hopes to earn our spot at the finals next year and are currently working diligently for our pre-season preparations.
Nearer to the season, we have training three times a week. This may be in the form of friendlies that our teachers-in-charge, Ms Ana Loh and Ms Karine Teo, or our coach, Mr Justin Teh, organise for us by reaching out to different schools and clubs. Pre-season is definitely the tougher period of the season but this is also the time where we grow and learn together as a team. Just like how Netball is a team sport, you will never feel alone in EJC Netball.
If you are looking for a CCA that will help you grow as a person, as well as satisfy your desire to join a sports CCA which has a close knit community, EJC Netball is the one for you! If you are keen to find out more about us, do follow us on Instagram @eunoianetball

Softball
Softball may not be the biggest CCA, but for many of us, it has become our second home. When new members join, the first thing they notice is how quickly we warm up to one another. That's what makes softball special, the bond we share goes beyond positions on the field. We push one another to improve, laugh off mistakes, and celebrate small wins. It's not just about swinging bats and running bases, it's about showing up for one another, growing together, and having fun in the process.
Our CCA trains two to three times a week. A typical session starts with warm up, followed by drills to improve our skills. These drills can get tiring, but every repetition counts because we have a clear goal for 2026, to clinch the gold medal. Some sessions end with practice matches where we test and sharpen communication on the field. Even when we're tired, we have a shared drive to give just one more swing.
Throughout the year, we participate in friendly matches and competitions. One of the most memorable events was playing friendly matches against the Singapore SEA Games women's team. Watching their speed and precision up close inspired us to level up. We also took part in the RVHS Softball Carnival, which offered a fun and competitive platform to play and bond as a team. Our biggest milestone remains the 2025 National School Games. It challenged us in new ways and strengthened our resolve to come back stronger next year.
While most people only see the excitement of the actual game day, what happens behind the scenes is equally important. The quiet encouragement before stepping onto the field, learning to trust teammates, and staying resilient after errors. These are lessons that shape us beyond softball.
It doesn't matter whether you've played the sport before. If you enjoy teamwork, want to build resilience, or are simply looking for a close-knit family in school, you'll find a place with us. Hope to see you next year!!🥎🥎

Squash
A blinding white room. A cold black ball that somehow moves faster than your brain can process. Glaring red lines on the walls that you will definitely hit—just not intentionally. And a long, slim piece of equipment called a racket.
Have you guessed the sport yet? Probably not.
Well, this is squash. Squash is a very niche sport. Most of you probably have never stepped into a squash court before, and without this introduction, you probably wouldn’t either. Thankfully, if you’re still reading this, it means you’re somewhat interested.
Do not fret if you are a complete beginner to the sport. In fact, most of our members are beginners who, like you, had no clue what Squash was. Rules? Unknown. Technique? Non-existent. Fitness? Questionable. And yet, here we are. You’ll be training and improving alongside batchmates who are starting out at the same level, and be part of a close-knit family where your support for one another is invaluable. Plus, even the teachers work closely alongside the coaches to help make sure we get the most out of the CCA.
Although EJC Squash began only in 2017, we’ve begun to establish ourselves as competitors to be contended with. In 2023 and 2024, we broke the top 4 in NSG, and in 2025, we obtained a strong 3rd placing, missing the finals by a mere few points. To continue improving, we’re constantly updating our training regimen to be better, faster, and stronger, aiming to fight for second place this very year.
As an EJC Squasher, there are only two basic principles you need to follow. First, do your best. Second, make memories that will last a lifetime, whether it’s your first proper rally, your first win, or laughing with your teammates after training. We are committed to ensuring that every EJC Squasher will get the most out of their experience here, both on and off the court.
So, come join EJC Squash. We guarantee you won’t regret it.

Table Tennis
EJTT is where discipline meets passion, and effort is measured not just in points won, but in the hours willingly spent training before the whistle even blows. Step into the sports hall on any training day, and the sharp crack of paddles against the ball fills the space. A rhythm built from focus, repetition, and determination. Long before CCA officially begins, members are already present, warming up, rallying, and pushing themselves to improve. This quiet commitment defines who we are.
Training in EJTT is rigorous but rewarding. Our sessions build strong fundamentals and refine technique, while encouraging growth at an individual pace. Regardless of experience, members train together in an environment where learning is shared and improvement is collective. Despite each of us growing at our own pace, none of us is alone. EJTT has fostered a culture where progress is celebrated, effort is respected, and no one is left behind.
Beyond regular training, EJTT fosters resilience and unity through competition. Matches are intense and demanding, requiring mental focus and composure under pressure. Whether at the table or cheering from the sidelines, every member contributes to the team’s spirit. Victories are celebrated together, and losses are treated as lessons, reinforcing the importance of perseverance and teamwork.
Looking beyond school time, we also take pride in contributing to the wider table tennis community. By helping to train Ai Tong School students, we share our experience and foster interest in the sport among younger players. This reflects our belief that growth in table tennis extends beyond our own team and that nurturing others is just as important as developing ourselves.
At its core, EJTT is more than a competitive sport. It’s a place where discipline, resilience, teamwork, and leadership are cultivated. EJTT is a community built on mutual support and shared passion, where every rally strengthens not just skill, but character. For those willing to commit, challenge themselves, and grow alongside others, EJTT is a place to belong and thrive.

Taekwondo
Taekwondo (TKD) is a Korean martial art that encompasses self-defense, physical fitness, and mental discipline. In EJC Taekwondo, we focus on one discipline of TKD, namely Poomsae, where our members learn different patterns based on their specific coloured belts. Our training takes place every Tuesday and Thursday, from 4.45pm to 7.30 pm. During these sessions, we conduct routine exercises to hone muscle movement, as well as regular stretching and running before commencing with our poomsae training.
Our CCA participates in various competitions throughout the year - with the main one being the National School Games (NSG) and others including Pesta Sukan and Taekwondo Open Championships (TOC) held by NTU. Our members compete across belt patterns, winning medals and making unforgettable memories.
Besides training for competitions and honing our poomsae skills, we have taken part in many performances, unravelling the creative element behind the sport. This includes performing at school events such as Open House and Teacher’s Day, as well as at a live broadcast of Singapore Heart Foundation’s 56th Anniversary show.
Needless to say, we have grown as athletes and individuals over the past year as a batch. Our accomplishments at said competitions and events would not have been possible without the relentless support from our teachers-in-charge, coaches, and fellow batchmates. Even during the most tumultuous times - when training ended late and our muscles began to sore, it was the silent yet pertinent bond within our batch that remained throughout. What may not be obvious to the eye would be the small encouragement said, inside jokes shared and countless sweat put in every session. These moments have irrevocably shaped our experience as a CCA and proved to us that we will always have a place on the mats.
Moving forward to 2026, we will undeniably celebrate our wins throughout the year, simultaneously focusing on what is to come. Besides welcoming a new batch of Taekwondo members, we aspire to excel at upcoming tournaments and strengthen the bonds within the batch.

Tennis
To say that tennis is just an individual sport in which you just swing a racket and hit a ball is a severe understatement. EJC Tennis is without a single doubt so much more than that. Beyond the racket swings, there lies a community built on laughter, encouragement, and shared passion. From the fun and giggles to the people and team spirit, there is not a single dull moment with this bunch. EJC Tennis is a family that supports one another both on and off the court.
Whether you are a complete beginner who has never picked up a racket or an experienced player looking for more opportunities to compete and challenge yourself, EJC Tennis welcomes everyone. Our inclusive environment allows members of all skill levels to grow together, learning from one another and improving rapidly as a team. Many of our players have seen tremendous progress within the short span of less than a year, a testament to the strong coaching, structured training, and mutual support within the CCA. However, this does not mean that training is gruesome and tiring. In fact, it is the opposite. Our CCA sessions are engaging and enjoyable, striking a perfect balance between discipline and fun.
Our training comprises 2-hour sessions twice a week. During the NSG season, the boys and girls teams train separately. Afterwards, training is mixed and you can choose from a 3-5pm or 5-7pm slot, catering to the differences in everyone’s timetables. During sessions, we alternate between drills for technical skills and matchplay for practice.
Beyond training, EJC Tennis truly shines in its strong team culture. Members often go out together after training sessions or during the holidays, further strengthening friendships and creating unforgettable memories. There are no cliques or divisions—everyone gets along exceptionally well, fostering a warm and welcoming environment. Occasionally, we also participate in friendly matches with other schools, providing valuable exposure and a chance to play in a relaxed yet competitive setting. With a proud history of achievements, including the girls’ team clinching 3rd runner-up positions in 2019, 2023, and 2025, EJC Tennis is both fulfilling and inspiring. It is, without doubt, a keystone of the EJC experience.

Track & Field
Ever wondered what it feels like to push your limits on the track, surrounded by teammates who cheer you on every step of the way? Track and Field is where discipline meets passion, and where every training session brings us closer, not just to our goals, but to one another.
Our CCA trains every Tuesday and Thursday from 5.30-7.30pm, transforming the track into a space of focus, resilience and growth. Within Track and Field, members specialise in one of three disciplines: Sprints, Cross Country and Jumps, each offering its own unique challenges and thrills. For sprinters, it’s the adrenaline rush of exploding off the blocks and chasing fractions of a second. For cross-country runners, it’s the grit and mental strength required to push through long distances, learning to embrace both the pain and the calm that comes with endurance. And for jumpers, it’s the unforgettable thrill of flying through the air, defying gravity as technique and power come together in a single leap.
Beyond training, Track and Field offers the chance to experience the excitement of competitions at the National Stadium, where months of preparation culminate in moments of pride, nerves and exhilaration. These competitions are not just about personal bests or podium finishes, but about standing together as a team, supporting one another regardless of outcomes.
What truly sets our CCA apart is the strong sense of camaraderie. We are a close-knit community that uplifts and motivates each other through tough training days and celebrates progress, big or small. There are times when we work relentlessly together, pushing through fatigue and self-doubt, and just as many moments where we unwind, laugh, and yap about everything under the sun.
Outside of the track, we also bond through occasional CCA dinners after training sessions, where teammates become friends and friendships grow stronger. These moments of shared meals and conversations reinforce the sense that Track and Field is more than just a sport—it’s a family.
If you’re looking for a CCA that challenges you physically, supports you emotionally, and gives you memories that last beyond the track, Track and Field is just the place for you!!

Ultimate Frisbee
Ultimate Frisbee at our college is a highly well-regarded sport and offers a unique, exciting experience as the only mixed-gender sport at the college level. It is a community where people genuinely enjoy showing up to train hard and spend time with one another. To me, it is a space I treasure deeply and a vital part of my #WhyEJ!
The moment training begins, there is a clear sense of shared purpose. We warm up, start our throwing drills, and settle into the rhythm of the session. Here we sharpen our forehands, backhands, and trick throws. As training progresses, we move into movement drills and scrimmages. The atmosphere shifts, intensity rises, and we push ourselves harder. In these fast-paced and competitive scrimmages, we test new plays and strategies taught by our coach, giving us the ideal space to put our skills into practice.
During these sessions, you truly see how much the team has grown together. Improvements feel collective, not individual, because every step forward is celebrated by everyone. This shared growth builds closeness and gives us strength as we work toward our goals.
Throughout the year, we look forward to various events, including external tournaments such as Pesta Sukan and the EJC Invitationals — both important learning experiences and standout memories for the team.
Everything builds toward the inter-JC competitions, the culmination of months of effort. Hosted on our home ground, the atmosphere is electrifying, with hundreds of spectators and teams from across all JCs. The intense games and deafening cheers still fill me with adrenaline. The hard-fought points and emotional post-game moments are memories I will never forget. Having all our hard work come to fruition and earning the title of champions last year was indescribable.
One of our key strengths is our passion, which extends far beyond training hours. It’s common to see teammates tossing in school during their free time. Even alumni return to help at practices, share advice, or simply reconnect, reminding us that we are part of a community that extends beyond just our batch.
Ultimate Frisbee is a special community rooted in grit, passion, and genuine care. We are a team that improves together, supports one another, and loves our sport — and we are ready to welcome you in!

Volleyball
Volleyball is often viewed as a fast-paced and physically demanding sport, but within our CCA, it is also where trust, resilience, and meaningful friendships are built. Training sessions are usually from around 5 to 7.30pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays in the MPH, where the court slowly fills with the familiar sounds of volleyballs being passed and teammates catching up with one another after a long school day. Each session follows a familiar yet purposeful routine: warm-ups to prepare both body and mind, followed by focused drills on key skills such as serving, receiving, setting, and spiking, and usually ending with gameplay where everything that we have learnt and worked on comes together.
While improving our technical skills is a major part of volleyball, what truly defines the team is the emphasis on bonding and forming close relationships. We are constantly reminded that volleyball is never an individual sport. Every point relies on trust — trusting that a teammate will be in the right position, make the right call, or cover the ball when things go wrong. Through shared challenges, tough drills, and moments of fatigue, team chemistry is gradually built, and this chemistry is what often makes the difference on court and what makes our experiences so rewarding in the long run.
This strong sense of unity was clearly reflected in this year’s National School Games. The girls’ team clinched 3rd place, marking the girls’ team’s first-ever national volleyball title since the school opened — a milestone that represents our dedication and collective effort. The boys’ team also performed commendably, finishing 4th nationally. While these results are significant, the journey behind them is just as important: the analyses of opponent teams before matches, constant encouragement from teammates, and learning to stay calm and composed regardless of the score.
Although the National School Games usually conclude by the first half of the year, training does not stop there. Training sessions continue well after the competition season ends, allowing players to refine their skills, develop physically, and strengthen team bonds without the pressure of matches. This continued commitment reflects our CCA’s vision of work hard, play hard.
Beyond the court, volleyball is where lasting friendships are formed. Seniors guide juniors not only in techniques and mindset, but they also share their experiences and provide their support. For the incoming JC1s, volleyball offers more than just a sport. It is a community built on trust, commitment, and shared experiences that shape both stronger players and individuals.
