For some time now, mental health experts have been sounding the alarm about the strange new habit of turning to AI for consolation. The promise is seductive: therapy at any hour, infinite patience and an always-available listening ear. Yet beneath the allure lurks a profound limitation. AI, however advanced and sophisticated it may be, lacks the depth of compassion and moral discernment that trained professionals can provide.

Is that all there is to it? That’s what we believed, over here at Press, until we began to observe an interesting phenomenon. It seemed that the canteen vendors would take into account other factors when serving us food.

Ultimately, nostalgia-based reboots dominate Hollywood because they are profitable and play into the audience’s deep-rooted emotional connections. But while they may offer short-term success, their overuse raises concerns about the future of storytelling. If Hollywood continues to prioritize safe, familiar content over innovation, will the industry stagnate? Or will audiences eventually demand something new, forcing studios to shift their approach?

We have a sole purpose: to find the ultimate Hidden Gem amongst all the hidden gems. Why did we subject ourselves to this potentially risky operation that would make our tongue lose faith in our dietary choices? Why, to further our research in bigback science, and perhaps to show these food a little love and attention it needs once in a while. 

It rose up, and amongst the wreckage of the cell that once caged it, he made out the distinct silhouette of humans. It covered its eyes swiftly with its claws, backing away, hoping to meet some form of a wall where it could finally, finally curl up and hide. It won’t let another human die. Not this time.

Focus. I have to go to bed now. It’s late and I have work in the morning. I’ll sleep and I’ll forget this and delete the conversation in the morning and go to work. And then I’ll flip burgers and finish my lecture videos. And then I’ll remember I could’ve been catching up with you after I clock out. Somewhat. Sometime.
